Small Vintage set of Sterling Silver Squared Salt and Pepper Shakers. The shakers are in good condition with some tarnish and one bent corner (see photo). They are small in size less than 2 inches in height. The tops pull off and on. They are easy to remove but fit and stay firmly. All holes in lid are free and open from any debris. These are very unique with square design and are great to display. Hallmarked and created by Wallace Company arpounf 1900 or perhaps more exacts in 1905 (numbered 34). RARE, i have no notice of Wallace pieces like this one, so modern for 1905; truly special item.

Co. was founded by Robert Wallace as a successor to Wallace, Simpson & Co., a German silver manufacturer. Wallace's sterling line began in 1875. The name was changed to Wallace Silversmiths in 1956. Wallace purchased the Watson Co. in 1956, Tuttle Silversmiths in 1958, and Smith & Smith in 1958. In 1959, Wallace was sold to the Hamilton Watch Co. and proceeded to change hands several times until 1986 when it was bought by Syratech and moved to Syracuse, NY. Major manufacturer of sterling flatware and hollow ware.
